Membership Application Requirement
We welcome everyone involved in early childhood care and education to become members of the ECCE Council. To qualify:
Ordinary Member
a) Practitioner (childcare provider and preschool teacher)
1. At least a Diploma in ECCE or its equivalent, that is accredited by MQA, or other relevant body; OR
2. Years of experience as childcare provider and/or preschool teacher as indicated:
• 7 years of experience with no credits in SPM
• 4 years of experience with 1 credit in SPM
• 3 years of experience with 2 credits in SPM
• 2 years of experience with 3 credits in SPM
b) Lecturer/Trainer in ECCE
At least a degree relevant to courses in ECCE training programmes and 3 years of working experience in a ECCE training institute
Fellow
1. Be a recognized authority in a field in ECCE with publications in reviewed journals;
2. Be an expert in a field in ECCE with publications in reviewed journals; or
3. Made pioneering contribution in ECCE.
